چکیده
Meriones shawi (M.shawi) is the main reservoir host for zoonotic cutaneous leishmaniasis (ZCL) in Central Tunisia. The incorporation of environmental and climatic effects on spread ZCL M. remains difficult. This study presents an agent-based model (ABM) to overcome these difficulties examine impact environment (i.e. vegetation cover) climate temperature) movement prevalence. simulation considers two agent types: rodent field unit agent. We tested according types movement: random thoughtful. integrated time dependent normalized difference index (NDVI) order test land cover transmission. results confirmed that disease depends movement. observed prevalence distribution are closest data when highest rodents go thoughtful In addition, we found nature (random or thoughtful) strongly minimum food detection.

A study was made in rural regions around Neiriz city, Fars province in the south of the Islamic Republic of Iran during 2002-03 to further investigate a new focus of zoonotic cutaneous leishmaniasis. Meriones libycus was the dominant rodent (100% of 65 rodents collected) and 4.6% were naturally infected with the amastigote form of Leishmania spp. Promasigotes were identified as L. major. This c...

متن کاملHost susceptibility factors to cutaneous leishmaniasis.
The host-pathogen relationship is the focus of many different studies which use a variety of disease models and different pathogens. Immunological studies in the mouse using the intracellular parasite Leishmania have helped define several aspects of host-pathogen interactions. Resistance to Leishmania is dependent on the development of CD4+ Th1 cells which promote an effective cell mediated imm...
متن کاملLeishmaniasis: A Review on Parasite, Vector and Reservoir Host
Leishmaniasis is a vector-borne disease affecting millions of people worldwide. The disease is caused by different species of Leishmania, and it is manifested by three major clinical forms namely cutaneous, muco-cutaneous and visceral leishmaniasis. This review is aimed to address briefly the parasite, the vector and the reservoir aspects in transmission of leishmaniasis in different regions of...
